Reducing Our Carbon Footprint in Plymouth.
At Hartley Dental, we recognise that dentistry has an environmental impact. As a dental practice based in Plymouth, Devon, we understand our responsibility to reduce our carbon footprint. The city of Plymouth, known as Britain’s Ocean City, inspires us to protect the environment and embrace sustainable practices.
Our efforts to reduce our environmental impact include energy-efficient lighting, implementing a “turn it off” policy, and conducting regular environmental impact assessments. But we’re taking things even further! On January 23rd, we will be fitting solar panels on the flat roof of the dental practice. This will significantly reduce our electricity consumption, moving us closer to a near-zero carbon footprint.

Supporting our local Plymouth community is at the heart of Hartley Dental and our ethos. We believe in using our resources and expertise to make a positive impact. In 2025, we’re committed to giving back through various community projects and charitable endeavors.
We are proud to partner with St. Luke’s Hospice, Plymouth. All funds raised from our charity events will go directly to support this important local charity. In line with our commitment to provide excellent patient care, we’re excited to announce that Hartley Dental will launch a new website at the end of January.
