The team at Hartley are delighted to welcome a new dentist to the practice!
Dr Sid Hussain will be joining us from 17 September 2026, working all day on Thursdays and Friday mornings.
Why Dr Sid Hussain?
When searching for our new dentist, Simon and Edd knew that finding the right person, with the right skills and values, would be essential.
We have always believed that creating an exceptional dental practice involves much more than simply being ‘great at dentistry’. That’s why we thoroughly assess every applicant to ensure they understand what ‘treating you the right way’ truly means for our patients.
Sid is a kind, caring, empathetic and positive person who loves ‘delivering healthier smiles’ and carries the Hartley phlosophy at the heart of his approach to patient care.
Having qualified with distinction from Khartoum University in Sudan in 2015, Sid has built an impressive career. He initially worked in Sudan and Qatar before moving to the UK in 2023, where he has since worked at two local practices.
Since qualifying, Sid has also achieved a number of additional qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methodology and Biostatistics – impressive! Outside of dentistry, Sid is an outdoor enthusiast, dedicated to a fit lifestyle, and a tech guru pioneering innovative dental solutions.
What availability will Sid offer?
Sid will be working:
- Thursday: 09:00–17:00
- Friday: 08:00–13:00
We have listened carefully to feedback from our patients, and one of the things we knew we needed to provide was greater availability with a dentist on a Friday. Starting at 08:00 on a Friday also gives patients the opportunity to book an appointment before the working day begins, making it easier to fit dental care around work and other commitments. We’re therefore delighted that Sid’s appointment allows us to make this a reality.
We know that finding a dentist in Plymouth on a Friday can be a challenge, particularly for new patients, and we hope Sid’s availability will help us welcome even more patients into the Hartley family.
Our practice is laser-focused on ensuring convenience and accessibility for our patients at every stage of their experience with us – that’s non-negotiable!
