Charlie Fox is fundraising for St Luke's Hospice Plymouth

It's time for us to say 'On your bike Charlie…'Charlie is at it again and off on his bike on a round trip of 136 miles to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice in Plymouth. It’s a cause close to Charlie’s heart with St Luke’s providing much needed for a close friend in her battle against cancer. Charlie, along with the ‘Lads from Salcombe’ are cycling from Salcombe to Brest in Brittany - catching the ferry on the way.On their JustGiving page the team says: ‘Every year we cycle around 140 miles from different starting points to Salcombe to raise money for St Luke's Hospice in memory of our dear friend Tina Favis. ‘This year we are getting the ferry to Roscoff, cycling around Brest and back to Roscoff to finish with cycling from Plymouth to Salcombe.‘During her time at St Luke's Hospice in Plymouth, the staff gave amazing support to Tina, her and friends and family and we want to do all we can to say thank you.‘Thousands of people use the services of St. Luke’s Hospice every single year, they provide fantastic care not only for their patients, but also for their friends and families.‘It costs £6million a year to run St. Luke’s; with only 32% funding received from the government, we need to raise £4.5million each year to keep the hospice open. This is now the 9th year of the ride in memory of Tina and over the years we have raised around £75k.‘We really want to keep raising as much money as possible for them and we really appreciate your support.’All of us at Hartley Dental are supporting Charlie on his way. If you’d like to support Charlie and the team they are doing all they can to reach their donation target and you can donate to the through their JustGiving page here.
